WFC Board in Prague
ACSDA’s older sister ECSDA, the European CSD Association, held its Annual General Meeting in Prague, Czech Republic in May and also hosted the bi-annual meeting of the World Forum of CSDs Board.
ECSDA Celebrates 20 years and host a meeting of the WFC Board in Prague
On this occasion ACSDA was represented by Mr. Javier Jara, ACSDA Vice-president from DCV, Chile and WFC Board Member, and Mr Bruce Butterill. ACSDA Executive Director and WFC Secretary, Mr. Roberto Gonzáles, ACSDA’s President from Indeval, Mexico is the current chair of the WFC Board.
ACSDA will complete its 2.5-year term Chairing the WFC Board and providingits Secretariat in November of this year in Hong Kong, when these reponsabilities will pass to the Asia-Pacific CSD Group (ACG).
Since the WFC’s inception in 2011, ACSDA has taken a very active role in a range of its global initiatives supporting the interests of CSDs in the Americas and accross the globe.
Among those initiatives are:
- World CSD Conferences
- Single Disclosure Tool Development and Implementation
- CSD Services to Issuers Research
- Regulatory Comment Letters
- CSD Fact Book
and a range of other activities.
The WFC provides a forum for the regional CSD associations to exchange information, discuss issues of common interest and increase their influence and engagement on cross-regional and global developments and is composed of the five regional CSD associations, which together represent approximately 135 member CSDs.
