From March 18 to 20, 2026, ACSDA held its 28th General Assembly in São Paulo, Brazil, hosted by B3. The inaugural day, held entirely at B3's facilities, not only hosted the Official General Assembly of members but also offered attendees an exclusive visit to the B3 operations center and museum (MUB3), concluding with a symbolic bell-ringing ceremony to celebrate the event's commencement.
This event gathered financial leaders to contribute to the strategic roadmap for Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) in the face of rapid digital transformation and evolving market risks. Sessions focused on key themes impacting market infrastructure, including Tokenization and Digitization of Assets, Core Technology Modernization and Data Strategy, market Interoperability, Operational Resilience and Cybersecurity, and the Regionalization of capital markets. A high-level debate explored strategies for market infrastructures: greater scale and consolidation versus specialization driven by interoperability.
A significant highlight of the event was the incorporation of Laqus, a Brazilian market infrastructure firm, as ACSDA’s newest member, strengthening regional expertise in custody and CSD functions.
We thank the event sponsors, whose support is essential for fostering dialogue and progress in the industry.
